Slivovitz! A.k.a Eastern European plum brandy, a.k.a. Ashkenazi brain detergent.
Seeing as it’s a relatively easy liquor to make and doubles as a paint-stripping agent, I’m not surprised Sarah’s been home-brewing this, probably in the bathtub.
(Also, a few familiar faces in that crowd.)
Brain detergent.
Indeed.
There are some pretty good Slivovitz on the market, but it’s been a while since I took the time to drink one.
But indeed, this party has just been shoved off the “go-easy-rails”…
But this Sarah is a girl that CAN do everything, too bad she spends her energy on achievin short-term goals.
But then, if she would go for long term goals, this comic would be lots less fun!
Oh, I have no doubt there are high-end, quality brand versions of slivovitz out there. But most of the ones I’ve encountered tend to be of the “two-buck Chaim” variety, and can double as nail polish remover.
Hasn’t stopped me though, and clearly isn’t stopping Sarah either, as if anything could. 😉
If it weren’t for the medication I’m on, I’d enjoy turning myself into a kosher pickle with slivovitz. I couldn’t even have a drink this night on my birthday. Probably next year.
Next year, in detox in Jerusalem! 😀
With a chaser of Manischevitz concord grape wine!
