So, fun fact about this strip in particular: When I first made it, the gentleman’s line instead compared her to a high-class escort. This resulted in the editor making a new standing rule for my comic strip – “references to prostitution or Russian mail-order brides are strictly forbidden.” So, I suppose I ought to thank the editor for forcing me to come up with a different line that made it newspaper-appropriate, funnier and, somehow, much, much worse. 🙂
